8pPVP set, Anathema, designed for easy H5s. Upgrade your gear (runspeed ftw) as you prog heroics. Focus on weaving damage on higher heroics (CDR, targets) and survival (shield, ring upgrades). Banish MF and DP on rank 1, get PS to decent level (>25/30y, <2.5s CD) and banish for late game. Starting spell prio: MF > DP/PS > MB (it's about having targets and aoe to farm levels quicker). Basic spell prio: MB (targets when below 10, decent CDR upg) > Big PWS upgrades (on higher heroics) > SWP (targets when below 8-ish, big CDR) > PS range/cd (until >30y, <2.5s; don't need >25y in Naxx) > MB (damage) / SWP (targets, CDR) > Smaller PWS > anything else +dmg on spells makes little difference on H5, except maybe very early on for farm. Having scream below 2s CD is probably a mistake, but most of my runs ended with it below 1.5s and it was still fine. Can also grab couple early MF upgrades before banishing, it helps spreading the love on the horde behind you. Adjust based on luck, current items, legendary upgrades popping up, etc. Use feeling. Gear upgrades: Luck trinket to decent level early on (duh) > Big def ring upgrades (on high heroics) > CDR ring/HoJ > Neck > Luck (>90% total on char feels good). Get items your need in your slots evenn over good upgrades, only legendaries trump getting things in place early on. Either +hp ring feels fine, can probably run echo neck with the same success (haven't tried it though). Stay ahead of the curve with your defensives, weaving will eat up guardians/bosses anyway. Bad luck on MB or other offensive upgrades early on will probably be balanced by early defensives or CDR. Same with gear. No point in getting 14 target MB and looking at damage meters if you're dead at 16 minutes from a caster oneshot. It's slow and not very exciting in numbers, but it's consistent, feels safe and will get you your stuff, easy solo heroic prog. Except for falling through the floor in Naxx, I've 1-shotted all h3-h5 AV/BM/AQ/Naxx heroics while doing them for the first time. Can probably drop luck trinket for something else if you're playing gnome. But then you're not really a shadow priest, are you?
